Alfred Harding Wood

Mr. Alfred Harding Wood, age 95, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care at Indian Creek in Corydon, IN. Mr. Wood was a member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge #122 F.&A.M.; and A Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by a daughter, Velma Wood Bridge; a grandson, Dwayne Embrey; and a great grandchild, Dakota Wemes. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Eva Wood; three children, Shirley Wood (Frank) King, Joseph (Gail) Wood, both of Battletown, KY, Linda (Billy) Wemes, Brandenburg, KY; a brother, Ed Wood, Winchester, KY; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Mullins officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-7 PM on Wednesday and after 9:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
