Alice Eloise Gagel Hendley

Mrs. Alice Eloise Gagel Hendley, age 78, of Frankfort, KY, formerly of Radcliff, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Hendley was born September 8, 1938, in Louisville, KY, and she grew up on a farm in Valley Station.  She married the love of her life, Julian Dale Hendley, on March 12, 1955.  They spent 61 wonderful years together.

Mrs. Hendley was preceded in death by her parents, Herman W. and Nellie B. Pierson Gagel; two brothers, Sonny and Delbert; two sisters, Millie jo and Alvenia; and a son-in-law, Terry E. Medley.  She is survived by three daughters, Sherry (Jimmy) Pope, Lena (Tom) Columbia, and Suzy Medley; 10 grandchildren, Vickie, Adam, Melinda, Chris, Angie, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Aron, Katie and David; two step grandchildren, Jeremy and Josh; 13 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; a sister, Violet Hendley; three brothers, James, Vernon and Henry Gagel; two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Marion) Henderson, Mary Lou Hendley; a brother-in-law, Tommy (Vivian) Hendley; and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 4, 2017, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeremy Pope officiating.  Burial will follow, next to her beloved husband, at North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
