Billie Joan Rone

Mrs. Billie Joan Rone, age 76, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care at Indian Creek in Corydon, IN.  Mrs. Rone served as a newspaper carrier for the Courier-Journal for 20 years.

Mrs. Rone was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar O. and Alpha Bryant Hoskins; and a daughter, Joan Margaret Rone.  She is survived by her husband, Thurmon D. Rone; four children, Tammie Lynn Rone-Bruner, Thurmon Anthony Rone, Sr., and his wife Janie, Melanie Dianne Rone Netherton, and Christopher Joseph Rone, and his wife, LeAnn; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; her sister, Patricia Hoskins Thornsbury; and two brothers, Danny and Ronnie Hoskins.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9 PM on Wednesday; 9-9 PM on Thursday; and after 9:00 AM on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
