Catherine Marie Knott "Kaye" Ray

Mrs. Catherine Marie Knott “Kaye” Ray, age 65, of Payneville, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Hosparus in-patient care center in Louisville, KY. Mrs. Ray was born January 5, 1953, the daughter of James William and Mary Ethel Mattingly Knott.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband, Richard L. Ray; three sons, Eric Ray, Webster, KY, Todd (Amy) Ray, Payneville, KY, Craig Ray, Union Star, KY; five grandchildren, Drew, Ethan, Megan, Lindsey and Wyatt; her siblings, Brenda (Paul) Mattingly, Gary Knott, Lois (Tom) Wooldridge, all of Brandenburg, KY, Rev. Ron Knott, Louisville, KY, Nancy (Randy) Smith, Guston, KY, Mark Knott, Rhodelia, KY; and her brother-in-law, Rev. Bob “Bud” Ray, Louisville, KY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 23, 2018, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, with Revs. George Illakkal, Ron Knott and Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of mass on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.
