Mr. Charles Anthony “Boots” Jenkins, age 82, Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Norton Hospital Downtown in Louisville, KY. Mr. Jenkins was a 64 year member of the Knights of Columbus; a Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer; the owner of Ray and Jenkins Farm Equipment; a member of the Meade County Cattleman’s Association; a farmer; and a member of the Saturday morning Men’s Prayer Group at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi. Charlie’s greatest joy in life was his grandkids and family.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Boots” and Mary Jenkins, a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Helm; and a brother, Jack Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Jenkins; four children, Pat (Bill) Beach, Occidental, CA, Bobby (Patty) Jenkins, Brandenburg, KY, Debbie (Danny) Lindsey, Louisville, KY, Craig (Deborah) Jenkins, Bowling Green, KY; 14 grandchildren, Nick Beach, Derek (Brooke) Dresel, Devin (Jason) Perdue, Marla (Billy) Moore, Kelsi (AJ French) Jenkins, Shelby (Joseph) Humphrey, Travis Jenkins, Tiffany Hubbard, Celia (Michael) Medley, Barrett Lindsey, Julie Lindsey, Taylor Jenkins, Madison Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins; and 11 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 3-8 PM on Friday; and at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass on Saturday.
