Mrs. Georgina Pike Hubbard, 79, of Guston, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in her home.
Georgina was born in Grahampton, Kentucky to Sarah Ann (Powers) and George Pike on December 20, 1937. She graduated from Nazareth Academy (Bardstown KY) in 1955. She retired from civil service at Fort Knox in 1993 and lovingly devoted her life to her family.
An active member of Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church, she lived a life fully devoted to Christ. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone in her presence feel welcome and God’s love. Georgina was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, and watching sports (especially the Kentucky Wildcats).
Georgina’s parents, her sisters, Betty Pike and Jeanne Sexton and her great-granddaughter Gracie Mae Leasor preceded her in death.
Georgina is survived by her loving husband Randall E. Hubbard of 60 blessed years, her children Fr. J. Randall Hubbard, George A. Hubbard (Mary), Lori A. Dedicke (George), and Karen H. Clark (Dennis), 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her sister Barbara Whelan (John Richard) of Vine Grove, and her brother Michael Pike (Sandi) of Sellersburg, Indiana.
Per Georgina’s request, do not send flowers. A donation may be made to Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church’s Narthex Fund or Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass on Friday.
