Glodene Bishoff

Miss Glodene Bishoff, age 84, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at her residence.  Miss Bishoff was born July 20, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Ella Bishoff.  Glodene was a devoted daughter and caregiver for her parents.   She was considered a Grandma to ALL kids.  She was a graduate of Meade County High School; she retired as a traveling CNA for the Lincoln Trail District Health Department after 22 years of service; worked at Anchor House for several years, where she formed the A Team singing group; was a Kentucky Colonel; was a 60 year member of the Meade County Homemakers; and a charter member of the Friendship Homemakers; was an Executive Board member of the Salem Association of Baptists; and was a member of New Brandenburg Southern Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she served in many different capacities.

Miss Bishoff is survived by her uncle, Jonathan Bishoff, Ann Arbor, MI; and several cousins.  Glodene was like a second mother to Rose Druck, Scott Druck, Jordan “Bubby” Wonderly, Gaye Jean Chapman, and Gabrey “Sis” Travis.  She is also survived by her special friend and traveling companion, Mary Ellen Trent.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Melton, Rev. Terry Carby and Rev. Tom Bridge officiating.  Burial will follow in New Brandenburg Southern Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2-8 PM on Saturday, and from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Sunday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New Brandenburg Southern Baptist Church.
