James Allen Fuqua

Mr. James Allen Fuqua, age 75, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at his residence.  Mr. Fuqua was an avid hunter; a member of Ducks Unlimited; a member of Local 576; and an avid University of Louisville Cardinal fan.

Mr. Fuqua was preceded in death by his parents, James Preston and Hallie Rose Dunn Fuqua; and two sons, Terry Allen and Wayne B. Fuqua.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Fuqua; six children, Brenda Mitchell, Linda Taylor, Michael Fuqua, James Lee Fuqua, Scott Nall and Larry McHolan; 14 grandchildren, Terry Allen, Jessica, James, William, Madison, David, Adam, Courtney, Josh, John Boy, Roman, Madison, Mason and Logan; many great grandchildren; a brother, Harvey Fuqua; and his best friend, Russell Owens.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Graves officiating.  Burial will follow in New Highland Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 PM on Friday, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the New Highland Cemetery Fund.
