Joseph E. "Jody" Benham

Mr. Joseph E. “Jody” Benham, age 46, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, March, 2, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Jody was employed as a manager of Database and Switch operations for Bluegrass Cellular. Jody was an extremely talented musician. He could play five different musical instruments. Jody played in many different bands throughout his life, most recently playing in Freak Daddies.

Jody was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Benham; and his mother-in-law, Anna Davis. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Davis Benham; two children, Austin Zachariah Benham and Erica Nicole Benham, both of Brandenburg, KY; his father, Wade L. Benham, Brandenburg, KY; his father-in-law, Edd O. Davis, Vine Grove, KY; a brother-in-law, Edward B. Davis, Vine Grove, KY; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Jean Collins, Newell, SD, Donna Kay Wright, Vine Grove, KY, Terry Lynn Davis, Louisville, KY; two uncles, Ricky Wayne (Joyce) Lawson, Louisville, KY, William Dudley (Renatta) Lawson, Italy; an aunt, Gloria Dix, Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary True officiating. Burial will follow in Weldon Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon-8:00 PM on Friday, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
