Beverly, I am just learning of your Mothers passing. My sympathy to you and Bim. She was a good person, I haven't seen her in quite a while but I always enjoyed talking to her. I can see her and your Dad riding around time in my memories. Both were special friends.

Louise
Louise, my neighbor,
Louise, my friend,
Louise, like a mother, time and again.
She loved her dogs, every one.
Like Fritzi, the dachshund, fat and sweet,
Katie, the lady, always at your feet.
Louise, keeping me informed of the local gossip.
And giving me sound advice.
Never criticizing, how could anyone be so nice?
Listening to books on the recorder,
Asking me to help with the reorder.
Keeping it loud, like a teenage child,
Keeping her mind sharp, all the while.
Perfect she wasn’t, of this I can attest.
Hard-headed at times, I confess.
Loved to disagree and debate
But without conflict and hate.
Now, when I pass by her home,
I know she is never alone.
She’s with our Lord, our savior
In whom she has always found favor.
