Norma Helen Meeks

Mrs. Norma Helen Meeks died March 4, 2018 in Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY following a brief illness. Helen was a loving mother, caring sister and devoted Christian. She was a friend to all and always had a warm smile for all who crossed her path. She attended church throughout her life and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and recently attended The Journey Baptist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, George William and Roxie Mae Brown and a son, Robbie Meeks. Helen’s children include, Ms. Norma Lee Yarberry, Gary Lynn Meeks (Anita) and William Taylor Meeks (Tonya); her grandchildren, Roxanne Yarberry, Adam Yarberry, Chance Meeks, Michael Meeks and Travis Taylor. Helen was blessed with two great grandchildren, Audrey and Carson Taylor. Helen was a loving sister to Linda Brown Cole of Elizabethtown and Bobby Brown, a veteran of the Korean War, of Brandenburg. Helen’s special nephews and nieces included Gene Miller, Wesley Miller, Bruce Cole, SFC William Barry Cole, Bryan Cole, Baye Cole, Melinda White, Lloyd Brown, Donna Faye Brown and Bobby Brown. Helen was loved by her great nieces and nephews, Reagan and Madison Cole, Jenifer and Meredith Cole, Kennedy Cole, Eric, Jr., Dewey and Arielle White.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Paul Frederick, Rev. Johannesburg Boulware and Brother Gary Benham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 4-8 PM on Thursday, and from 11:00AM until 1:30 PM on Friday.
