Phyllis McCrary Lundy

Mrs. Phyllis McCrary Lundy, age 82, of Irvington, KY, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, at her residence. Phyllis was best known for her great sense of humor and her love of decorating. Among her many other interests included square dancing, bowling, crafting and painting. She was formerly a very active member of TOPS; She was a Stenographer for the FBI, a Sunday school teacher for many years; and a former kindergarten teacher. Phyllis was also very proud of being a farmer’s wife, and also was known to be a great “counselor” and a wonderful cook to her family and many friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McCrary; and a sister, Peggy Ritter. She is survived by her husband, Frank R. Lundy; two daughters, Sabrina (Dan) Redenius, and Kimberly (Richard) Perry, both of Guston, KY; a granddaughter, Melissa Mayes (Charlie Thomas), Vine Grove, KY; and a sister, Teddy (Kenneth) Wonder, Louisville, KY.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Betty Shelby officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
