William Michael Mayes

Mr. William Michael Mayes, age 69, of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017, at his residence.  Mr. Mayes was a veteran of the United States Army; a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion; and a Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Mayes was preceded in death by his parents, William Norbert and Virginia Katherine Siers Mayes; and a brother, William Robert Raymer.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann “Patty” Mayes; a daughter, Patty (David) Richey, Princeton, KY; four grandchildren, Austin Richey, Chris Gilkey, Lauralee Richey and Nikki; three great grandchildren, Brennan, Jaxon, and Weston; and two sisters, Alma Ray Clark, Leitchfield, KY and Pat (Garry) Hicks, Sr., Brandenburg, KY.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Bethany Cemetery, with Rev. Garry Hicks officiating.  The U.S. Army will provide military honors.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, KY, from 1-8 PM on Thursday.
