Shirley Margaret (Dionne) Mills

     Mrs. Shirley Margaret Mills, age 89, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Louisville, KY.  Shirley was born July 9, 1932, the daughter of Arthur Oliver and Margaret (Schackner) Dionne.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.

     Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph Mills; her daughter, Lori Mills; and three brothers, Father Bob, Joe and Arthur Dionne.  She is survived by her son, Brad Mills and his wife, Lisa, Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Brooke Mills, Ashleigh Mills, both of Brandenburg, KY, Amanda Swink, Louisville, KY, Nicholas Williams, Elizabethtown, KY; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, Darbie, Alexa, Casen, Leah and Harper; and her brother, John (Angela) Dionne, of Florida.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 6, 2021, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Toan Do officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass on Monday.  Vigil services will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
