Alberta Laverne Rearden

Mrs. Alberta Laverne Rearden, age 85, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at her residence. She retired from Keller’s Manufacturing after 30 plus years of service. Mrs. Rearden had a wide variety of interests and hobbies including visiting yard sales, reading, gardening and cooking. Her most precious gifts in life, however, were her cherished children and many grandchildren. Mrs. Rearden was also a member of New Highland Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rearden was preceded in death by her parents, Georgie Roy Allen and Dorothy Estes Cubbins; her son, Donnie Allen, Jr.; her husband, Frank Rearden; and six siblings, Lorene Bowman, Doris Whelan, Tunie and Leonard Allen, Jackie Masden and Wanda Sutherland. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Larry) Knott, Payneville, KY, Frankie (LTC Ret. Steven Logsdon) Stull, Ekron, KY; four grandchildren, Carrie (Jasper) Hardesty, Jessica Akers, Destiny Flanagan, Terry Wayne (Kellie) Stull; six great grandchildren, Megan and Kyle Hardesty, Jax Wilson, Caleb Flanagan and Levi and Luke Stull; and a great-great granddaughter, Grace Hardesty.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. William “Happy” Chandler officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
