Charles Richard "Jap" Hardesty

Mr. Charles Richard “Jap” Hardesty, age 53, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his residence.

Jap was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Lou Hardesty; his father, Murle Hayes; and his brother, Eric Hardesty. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hardesty; three children, Cassie Hardesty, PA, Mackensey Hardesty and Lindsey Hardesty, both of Battletown, KY; his godchild, Cody Spink, Battletown, KY; two grandsons, Maddox Hardesty and Layne Risinger; two sisters, Sheila (Petey) Smith, Dee (Kelly) Brown, both of Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2019, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Jensen Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Bogard-Greer Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday; and after 9:00 AM on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
