Mr. Chester A. Medley, age 82, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Harrison Health Care in Corydon, IN. Chester was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church; an agent for Farm Bureau for 40 years; a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years; a former member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge; and one of the original founders of WMMG radio station in Brandenburg. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Alexander and Irene Singleton Medley; five brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Mansel Sue Thompson Medley; three children, Melody A. Embry, Christopher A. Medley, and his wife, Lynn, both of Brandenburg, KY, Bryant A. Medley, and his wife, Valerie, Radcliff, KY; a granddaughter, Mandy Skaggs, and her husband, James, Brandenburg, KY; five great grandchildren, Xavier, Elijah and Conner St. John, Gavin and Micah Skaggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Sunday.
