Mr. Claude Lewis “Pardy” Withers, III, age 75, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, at his residence. His priority throughout his life was always his family first. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother, and friend to everyone he ever met. Pardy’s passion was classic cars. He restored many classic and antique cars throughout his life. He was a charter member of the Meade County Classic Cruisers where he held the position of President for many years. Pardy also was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in Vietnam.
Pardy was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Lewis, Jr. and Nancy Kennedy Withers. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Karen Stivers Withers; four daughters, Kathy (Steve) Martin, Christy (Greg) Stith, Molly Withers Padgett, Amanda (Mike) Bennett; six grandchildren, Devin, Kennedy and Olivia Stith, Shelby and Heath Ray, and Lane Padgett; two step grandchildren, Arien and Byren Bennett; and his sister, Carol Ann Rosenberger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. David Campbell and Rev. Jerry Shacklett officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2-8 PM on Monday and after 9:00 AM on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
