Mr. Clifford C. Thelen, age 84, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at the Norton Medical Pavilion in Louisville. Mr. Thelen was born January 7, 1934, the son of Bernard and Amanda Esselman Thelen. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Thelen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Ann Greenlee Thelen; his step daughter, Candice Fancher; and three siblings, William Thelen, Ruth Ann Tedesco and Dan Thelen. He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Jeff) Duwell, Holly (Scott) Lauters, Kerry (Ron) Binsfeld, Jacki (Lee) Umness, all of Wisconsin; seven sisters, Audrey (Andy) Dieringer, Lois Anzia, both of Port Washington, WI, Marilyn Averill, Eria Mae (Ron) Schneider, Rita (Clete) Schneider, all of West Bend, WI, Kathy (Don) Harmeling, Waterford, WI, Mary Ann (Dave) Schowalter, Appleton, WI; four brothers, Jerry (Kay) Thelen, Richard (Barb) Thelen, both of West Bend, WI, Charles “Bud” (Joan) Thelen, Allenton, WI, Pat (Mary) Thelen, Saukville, WI; two sisters-in-law, Mary Maupin, New Haven, KY, Margaret Papantonotolous, Robinson, IL; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; and 64 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, July 13, 2018.
