Mr. Clifton Lee “Pops” Bristoe, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. Mr. Bristoe was born November 5, 1941, the son of Aubra Earl and Rosa Gladys Roundtree Bristoe. He was a devoted family man, as well as, being a longtime Deacon at Glad Tidings Christian Center. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Pops is survived by his loving wife, Betty “Nannie” Bristoe; five daughters, Darcy Smiddy, Cheryl (Joseph) Bruner, Toye (Cecil) Ramey, all of Brandenburg, KY, Vicki (Robert) Key, Valley Station, KY, Sheri (Bryan) Florence, Lexington, KY; two brothers, Aubra “Butch” Bristoe, Fairdale, KY, Alan (Valerie) Bristoe, Shepherdsville, KY; two sisters, Elaine (Robert) Stout, Shepherdsville, KY, Faye Poulter, New Albany, IN; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Friday, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday.
