Ed Turner

Mr. Ed Turner, age 72, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.  Ed is retired from Arch Chemical in Brandenburg, but his true passion was farming.  Ed was a member of the Meade County Cattleman’s Association; and an avid Meade County Greenwave sports fan.

Ed was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Edward Turner; his mother, Ruth Turner Early; and two brothers, Robert L. and Frank Turner.  He is survived by his wife, Diana Barr Turner; two children, Nathan Barr Turner and Nadia Maria Turner; two sisters, Carolyn Matthews and Jeanette Snead; a brother, Stanley Turner; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Rhodelia, KY, with Rev. Robert Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 1-8 PM on Thursday.  Visitation on Friday before Mass will remain private.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Orphan Voice, P.O. Box 910410, Lexington, KY  40591.
