Edwin I. "Eddie" Baysinger

Mr. Edwin I. “Eddie” Baysinger, age 77, of Webster, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at his residence. Eddie was born August 4, 1941, the son of Denis Rudolph and Catherine Iona Rhodes Baysinger. Eddie was a member of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church. He served as secretary for the F.O. P. Otter Creek Lodge #67; was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Teresa Council #2282; was a member of the Irvington and Meade County Sportsman’s Club; a member of the IBEW Local #369; was retired from Olin Corporation; formerly served as a Meade County Deputy Sheriff; and was a CCDW instructor for many years. Eddie was always heavily involved in his church and community, but his constant passion and priority in life, always remained his family.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Samuel and Ronnie Baysinger; and a sister, Judy Ann Kullman. He is survived by his loving wife, Tobi Baysinger; three children, Paul Baysinger, Webster, KY, Janice Baysinger Straney, and her husband, John, Brandenburg, KY, Michelle Baysinger Bruce, and her husband, Keith, Ekron, KY; a step son, Gregory Farmer, and his wife, Vanessa, Ekron, KY; four grandchildren, Zachary Straney, Connor, Emma and Ethan Bruce; a brother, Bobby Baysinger, and his wife, Betty, Ekron, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Rev. George Illakkal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, and from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM on Tuesday. A vigil service will be held on Monday evening at the chapel of the funeral home. With Eddie’s heavy involvement in his community, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to any of the organizations that he was involved with.
