Eva Friend Wood

Mrs. Eva Friend Wood, age 91, of Battletown, KY passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Brandenburg Health and Rehabilitation Center, Brandenburg, KY. She was a member of the J.R. Dink Chapter 347, Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wood; her parents, Henry and Esther Turpin Friend; a daughter, Velma Bridge; and a grandson, Dwayne Embry; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by three children, Shirley King and her husband Frank, Battletown, KY; Joe Wood and his wife Gail, Battletown, KY; and Linda Wemes and her husband Billy, Brandenburg, KY; a sister, Joyce Friend, Naples, Fl; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Bridge and Rev. Terry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
