Mr. Harold Wade Mattingly, age 80, of Payneville, KY passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Mattingly was retired from Olin Corporation; he was a former butcher for various grocery stores throughout the county; and he was a member of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church.
Mr. Mattingly was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Earl and Della Rose Pollock Mattingly; two brothers, Dennis and Marvin Mattingly; and two grandchildren, Daniel Tyler and Courtney Elizabeth Mattingly. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Fackler Mattingly; four children, Daniel Glenn (Teresa Barr) Mattingly, Payneville, KY, Gregory Alan (Sheila Davis) Mattingly, Glasgow, KY, Jeffrey Mark (Lori Hardesty) Mattingly and Lisa Mae Mattingly, both of Brandenburg, KY; three sisters, Laverne Mills, Linda Greenwell and Myra Fay Cummings; and six brothers, Jerry, Lynn, Brent, Bobby, Wayne and Mike Mattingly; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 15, 2019, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Rev. George Illikkal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass on Friday. Vigil services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM on Thursday, led by Deacon Greg Beavin. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
