Helen Maxine Coates Thomas

Mrs. Helen Maxine Coates Thomas, 77, of Brandenburg, KY passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY. She was a 21 year member of the Brandenburg Church of God, where she was designated the official greeter. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Cora Ethel Piper Rider; two husbands, Paul Coates, Sr. and Lon Thomas, Jr.; and 13 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by 4 children, Anna (Glenn Ritchie) Coates, Corydon, IN, Paul (Gloria) Coates, Custer, KY, Daniel (Jennifer) Coates, Flaherty, KY and David Coates, Brandenburg, KY; 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday from the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Johnson, officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be contributions to the funeral home to aid with expenses.
