James Lamar Davidson, Sr.

Mr. James Lamar Davidson, Sr., age 70, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at his residence. He was born January 20, 1949, the son of Paul Vernon, Sr. and Ora Elizabeth Lucas Davidson. Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Anderson Davidson; two twin daughters, Cathy Jean and Carol June Davidson; a son, Leslie Alan Davidson; a grandson, Joseph Bradley Davidson; and a brother, Paul Vernon Davidson, Jr. He is survived by two sons, James Lamar Davidson, Jr., and his wife, Michelle, Mammoth Cave, KY, Joseph Louis Davidson, Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren, Emily Lauren, Amber Lynn and Logan Michael Davidson; three sisters, Elizabeth “Libby” Richardson, and her husband, Lonnie, Westview, KY, Virginia Smiley and her husband, Ray, Brandenburg, KY, and Pamela “Pam” Davidson, Henderson, KY; a brother, Harold E. Davidson, and his wife, Ana Lisa, Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2019, at Salem Baptist Church, with Rev. Garry Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Salem Baptist Church.
