Janet Conrad Morrison Rice Obituary

Mrs. Janet Conrad Morrison Rice, age 66, of Salem, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. Janet was born October 8, 1951, the daughter of Horace Benjamin and Iona Elizabeth Briles Conrad. She was a member of Meade County General Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rice, Sr.; two daughters, Amanda and Stacy Morrison; two sons, Robert Rice, Jr. and Thomas Bryan “Bubba” Rice; her first husband, Robert Morrison; three brothers, Bill and Earl Adams and Arthur “Hoss” Conrad; and a sister, Glenda Scott. She is survived by 8 children, Daniel Morrison, Scottsburg, IN, Melissa Thiery, Indianapolis, IN, Alison Morrison, Benjamin Morrison, both of Salem, IN, Shawn Rice, Owensboro, KY, David Morrison, Fulton, MO, Chris Rice, Richland City, IN and Ashley Dame, Ekron, KY; a sister, Mary Alice Smith, Battletown, KY; and a brother, Mark Conrad, Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, at the Meade County General Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Golladay and Rev. Roger McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Parr-Frans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Wednesday at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
