Lorene Heavrin Barr

Mrs. Lorene Heavrin Barr, age 85, of Rhodelia, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Barr was born September 19, 1933, the daughter of Bernard Spalding and Cecelia Ruth Whelan Heavrin. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Barr; a son, Joseph Wayne Barr; and two sisters, Dorothy Barr and Rena Greenwell. She is survived by six children, Shirley (Johnny) Howard, Kingswood, KY, David (Velana) Barr, Denny (Brittany) Barr, both of Payneville, KY, Brenda (Roger) Stull, Webster, KY, Donna (Bradley) Curl, Brandenburg, KY, Timmy Barr, Rhodelia, KY; three sisters, Edna Popham, Norma Redmon and Pearl Carrico; 17 grandchildren, Charlotte, Susan, Christy, Josh, Margie, Rebecca, Adam, Melodie, Denise, Polly, Bethany, Jeffrey, Amy, Lora, Jake, Dustin and Dylan; 28 great grandchildren, Robert, Luke, Daniel, Travis, Zack, Savannah, Christian, Keva, Emily, Matthew, Crew, Victoria, Bryce, Braden, Wesley, Turner, Gavin, Darcie, Carlie, Hadley, Sadie, Alea, Maylee, Whitley, Joseph, Clara, Heaton and Baby Kesler, 4 great-great grandchildren, Ansley, Anderson, Bryce and Kohen; four step great grandchildren; and six step great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, with Rev. George Illakkal, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of mass on Monday. Vigil Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home, led by Deacon Greg Beavin. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.
