Marshall Dean Cress

Mr. Marshall Dean Cress, age 50, Flaherty, KY, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at University of Louisville Hospital.  Dean was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty; a veteran of the United States Army and of the Naval Reserves; and a proud member of the NRA.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Della Cress; a Grandson, Liam; his brother, Glen Cress; and a nephew, Steven Cress Logsdon.  He is survived by his wife, Gina Johnston Cress; six children, Elizabeth Cress Craig, and her husband, Randy, Martrina Cress, both of Flaherty, KY, Alisha Cress Butler, and her husband, Zachary, Irvington, KY, Julie Cress Wilkins, and her husband, Steven, Randie Murray, both of Radcliff, KY, Nicole Tarrence Allphin, Webster, KY; 9 grandchildren, Jacob, Stanley, Lindsey, Mason, Anthony, Adrianna, Braydon, Laurel and Ellie; three siblings, Donald Cress, Custer, KY, Gary Cress, and his wife, Debbie, Regina Cress Logsdon, and her husband, Paul, both of Louisville, KY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty.  Burial, with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, from 12:00 Noon- 8 PM on Wednesday, and after 8:00 AM on Thursday.  Vigil services will be held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Marshall Dean Cress Memorial Fund, c/o Hager Funeral Home.
