Mary Helen Clark Wibbels

Mrs. Mary Helen Clark Wibbels, age 87, of Elizabethtown, KY, formerly of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Wibbels was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin A. and Nettie Pearl Thompson Pipes; her husband, Robert F. Wibbels; her brother, James Pipes; and two sisters, Margaret Burton and Mildred Thomas. She is survived by two sons, Joseph E. Sonner, and his wife, Sherida, Louisville, KY, Ronnie S. Sonner, and his wife, Anita, Elizabethtown, KY; two brothers, Thomas Earl Pipes, Caneyville, KY, Ronald Pipes, Brandenburg, KY; two sisters, Peggy Podzileny, AZ, Vivian Carwile, Webster, KY; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
