Ray A. Dutton, Sr.

Mr. Ray A. Dutton, Sr., age 87, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Mr. Dutton was a member of Ekron Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, John Russell and Mary Katherine Stangle Dutton; his loving wife of 63 years, Acenia Lurene Dutton; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by five children, Ray A. (Valorie) Dutton, Jr., Karen Faye (David) Harris, Kaythie Leah Dutton, all of Brandenburg, KY, William Anthony (Elaine) Dutton, Toms River, NJ, and Robert Ray (Lisa) Dutton, Bloomfield, KY; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Ekron Baptist Church, with Rev. Wes Pinkley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Monday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
