Mr. Ronald Wayne Mattingly, Sr., age 69, of Ekron, KY passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Mattingly was a veteran of the Vietnam War, while serving in the United States Army; and he was retired from Ford Motor Company with 30 years of service.
Mr. Mattingly was preceded in death by his father, Arlie B. Mattingly, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 48 years and 7 months, Fay Mattingly; three children, Ronald Wayne Mattingly, Jr., and his wife Cheryl, Sellersburg, IN, Wyatt Mattingly, and his wife, Autumn, Flaherty, KY, Travis James Mattingly, Ekron, KY; four grandchildren, Brittney, Jimmy, Brooklyn and Logan; his mother, Ernestine Mattingly, Corydon, IN; his sister, Carol Pennington, Corydon, IN; his brother, Bernie Mattingly, Boston, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Irvington, KY. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and after 9:00 AM on Thursday.
