Ruth Pate Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Evelin Pate, age 94, of Louisville, KY, formerly of the Buck Grove Community of Meade County, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Wesley Manor in Louisville. She was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pate was born April 4, 1925, the daughter of John Henry and Lillin Mae Trotter Hyten. Besides her parents, Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank; two sons, Bruce and Phillip Pate; and seven siblings, Paul, Bill, Pete, Johnny, Leroy, Esther and Sylvia. She is survived by her son, Frank Pate, and his wife, Sandy, Louisville, KY; her daughter-in-law, Gwen Pate, Brandenburg, KY; two siblings, Eugene Hyten and Pauline Kyle; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. David Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
