Sophia Reesor Obituary

Mrs. Sophia Ann Reesor, 76, of Battletown, KY passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was a former manager of a Wal-Mart Bakery.

Mrs. Reesor was preceded in death by her parents George Lee Roy and Della Frances Hancock Manning; a son, Darrel Warren Galla; two brothers, George and Frank Manning; and two sisters, Shirley Pipes and Nancy Phillips. Mrs. Reesor is survived by her husband, Lloyd “Pete” Reesor; eight children, Michael Raymond (Kaye) Chandler, Irvington, KY, Dawn Leigh (Jerry Lamb) Coleman, Ledbetter, KY, Jesus Mendez, Carbondale, IL, Shaun Michael Reesor and Dennis Patrick Reesor, Mayfield, KY, Linda Ann Chandler, Morganfield, KY, Roberta Renee (Steve) Seale, Louisville, KY and Donald Lee (Chrissy) Helstern, Shelbyville, KY; four sisters, Pat Elliott, Jeannie Miles, Berdie (Ronnie) Nichols and Mary (Mike) Adams; three brothers, James (Linda) Manning, John (Alice) Manning and Bobby (Yvonne) Manning; ten Grandchildren, seven Great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation was chosen by the family. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Corner Restaurant, 2110 Rhodelia Road, Payneville, KY 40157. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager Funeral Home.
