Sue Carol Rider

Mrs. Sue Carol Rider, age, 79, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mrs. Rider was born September 21, 1937, the daughter of Elmer and Pearl Ensor Basham.  She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Rider was preceded in death by seven siblings, Bernie Basham, Louise Bridges, Naomi Hutchins, Maebell Thomas, Lois Smith, Doris Adams and Ella Grace Benham.  She is survived by three children, Kelly (Jackie) Foster, Versailles, KY, Robin (Troy Dunn) Thompson, Dana (Phillip Troutman) Hubbard, both of Brandenburg, KY; a sister, Margie Chism, Ekron, KY; seven grandchildren, Nick, Eric and Blake Foster, Amber Cook, Nathan Thompson, Samantha and Lindsey Hubbard; and three great grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Garry Hicks officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3-8 PM on Wednesday and after 9:00 AM on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home or to Salem Baptist Church.
