Timothy "Tim" Hughes, Sr.

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Hughes, Sr., age 61, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mr. Hughes was a 1974 graduate of Meade County High School; was employed by Harold Lewis Auto Sales in Elizabethtown; loved flying remote control planes; and loved his “Ponderosa” and working on his tractors.

Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas B. and Anna Margaret Hall Hughes; a sister, Loretta Hughes Lucas; and a brother, Gerald Hughes.  He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nellie Hughes; three children, T.J. (Pam) Hughes, Brandenburg, KY, David (Shawna) Hughes, Louisville, KY, Nate Hughes, Vine Grove, KY; six grandchildren, Emmy, Taylor, Hannah, Jacob, Olivia and Tatum; a brother, Daniel Hughes, Stephensport, KY; and his special friends, Greg Conn, Steve White, Tom Thompson and Mark Baker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at New Brandenburg Baptist Church, with Brothers Tony Yates and Terry Carby officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 3-8 PM on Friday, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family.
