Verna Mae Phillips

Mrs. Verna Mae Phillips, 81, of Guston, KY passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. Mrs. Phillips was the owner of Verna’s Beauty Shop, a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of New Highland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Phillips.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her son Randall Phillips and his wife, Sarah of Guston, KY; two grandchildren, Haylee and Kayden Phillips, Guston, KY; her special caregivers, Alicia Stennett and family, Debbie Lonnie Bottles, and the staff of All About Home Assisted Living; and several other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday from the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 until 8:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 AM until the time of service Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be contributions to the Blue River Island Baptist Church Youth or Children’s Groups.
