Alice Earline (Howard) Conley

     Mrs. Alice Earline (Howard) Conley, age 80, of Rhodelia, KY, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN.  Mrs. Conley was born one of 21 children on September 23, 1941.  She was a longtime member of Payneville Baptist Church.  Alice truly had a heart of gold that was displayed often, but especially at Christmas time when she would find one family in need and provide Christmas for them.

     Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Clyde “Bud” Conley; her grandson, Daniel Conley; two brothers, who she was especially close to G.B. Howard and James Howard; along with several other brothers and sisters.  She is survived by three children, Charles Joseph Conley and his wife, Debbie, Leo John Conley, and A. Karrol Sakofske and her husband, Dan; six grandchildren, Bobby Hinton, Joseph Dowers, Cassandra Dowers, Benjerman Sakofske, Isabel (Jacob) Matlock, and James Harlin Conley; five great grandchildren, Elayna, Tony, Camilla, River and Emelio; two sisters, Brenda (Lynn) Brentlinger, and Mary D’Andrea; her brother, Marvin Howard; her sister-in-law, Cora Howard; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and 33 foster children.

     Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in Garnettsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Payneville Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
