Obituary

Mrs. Alicia Burgett, age 63, of Brandenburg, KY, went to be with her Father and savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Robley Rex Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville, KY.  Alicia was born July 25, 1957, the daughter of Michael and Trinidad Hernandez.  She was a 22 year veteran of the United States Air Force, where she earned the rank of MSGT.  Alicia was a very strong woman that had a variety of interests.  She ran several different marathons and loved to sky dive.  She also enjoyed woodworking and in most recent years, loved doing landscaping and yard work at her house on the lake in Doe Valley.  Alicia was a member of Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, but had recently been attending Radiant Church in Brandenburg.

  Alicia was preceded in death by her father, Michael.  She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Burgett; her son, Benjamin Burgett; her daughter, Angela Burgett; her granddaughter, Kennedy; her mother, Trinidad Hernandez; and four siblings, Danny, Linda, Louis and Alfred Hernandez.

  Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Brother Don Hileman officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00PM on Thursday.  There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Burgett home from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Thursday, for fellowship and refreshments  Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 6, 2020, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
