Angelia Marie "Angie" (Lane) Smith

     Mrs. Angelia Marie “Angie” Smith, age 57, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.  Angie was a director of Early Childhood Development for many years where she touched many lives.  She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose.

      Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Linda Lane; her husband, Donnie Smith; and her nephew, Joey Smith.  She is survived by three children, Eilene Madden, Jordan Roberts, and Danielle Martin; four grandchildren, Kaylee and Lexie Glisson, Emma Madden and Nolan Cain; her sister, Kelly (Gary) Whittemore; her brother, Skip (Heather Metcalf) Lane; three brothers-in-law, Todd (Natalie) Smith, Petey Smith, Jackie (Kat) Smith; her sister-in-law, Penny Smith; her aunts and uncles, Chuck and Linda Massey, Art and Missy Lane, Bob and Cathy Lane, and Diane Nichols; her nieces and nephews, Ryan and Amanda Lane, Jacob Cundiff, Camron and Abbi Lane, Tony Mills, Jr., Katie and John Barrow, Tara and Nick Drexler, Kyle, Taylor and Haley Smith, Ralph Roberts, and Amanda and Derek Pertuis; her great nieces and nephews, Austin, Cooper and Raelyn Lane, and Colson Mills; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and Miss Angie’s (Gigi’s) Kids.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Toan Do officiating.  Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and at the church from 8:30 AM until the time of Mass on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
