Anthony "Tony D Bear" Orrender

     Mr. Anthony “Tony D Bear” Orrender passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2023, at the age of 55, in Guston, KY.  Tony was the son of the late Damon Harold and Alma Rae Orrender.  He retired as a Solution Operator with American Synthetic Rubber Company in Louisville, KY, to enjoy the farm life with his family.  Tony was dedicated to serving others and faithfully served on the Ekron, Meade County, Irvington and Flaherty Fire Departments throughout the years.

      Tony is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Christy Marie; three children, Travis Bryan, Charles Anthony, and Leah Mae (Heath, Jr.); his grandson, Heath III; two brothers, David Andrew (Sharon) and Denver Alan; and many more beloved family and friends.

       Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. David Buckham officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the WHAS Crusade for Children, which was very dear to Tony’s heart.
