Barbara Ann (Foor) Hardesty

Ms. Barbara Ann Foor Hardesty, age 73, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.  Barbara was born on September 21, 1952, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Virginia Mae (Embrey) Foor who both preceded her in death.

Barbara was a longtime manager for several different retail stores throughout the years.  She had the gift of gab, and loved talking on the phone with anyone, and everyone, sometimes while walking her beloved puppy.  She always enjoyed spending time with her friends and participated in many prayer groups with them.  Most importantly, she loved her family fiercely and will be missed by them dearly.

Barbara is survived by her three sons, Shawn (Aarika) Hardesty, Jamie (Shannon) Hardesty and Josh (Melania) Hardesty; 12 grandchildren, Trace, Cheyanne, Rylan, Chase, Luke, Bryce, and Aleah Hardesty, Gabriel, Anabelle, and Madalynn Schartzer, and Ava and Brantzen Tyree; her brother, Eddie (Elaine) Foor; her niece, Jennifer (Glen) Lichtefeld; her nephew, Brian Foor; her great niece, Faith Noel White; her two best friends, Cathy (Phillip) Tripp-Jones and Kay (Mike) Kirchdorfer Cain; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Wednesday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Pets-in-Need Society (PINS).
