Bernard Leon Fackler

     Mr. Bernard Leon Fackler, age 79, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Todd Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, IN.  He was born March 6, 1944, the son of Hubert James and Theresa Viola (Greenwell) Fackler.  Bernard was a veteran of the United States Army.

      Mr. Fackler was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doreen Fackler; two sisters, Loreda Pike and Margaret Miller; and two brothers, James Fackler and Raymond Fackler.  He is survived by four sons, Troy Fackler, Flaherty, KY, Cory Fackler and his wife, Julia, and Eric Fackler, both of Brandenburg, KY, and Kevin Fackler, Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Kyle, Codie, Abbegail and Austin Fackler, Hayley Miller, and Adam Hodge; eight great grandchildren, Zaxlie, Branton, Payton, Paisley, Cedar, Murphy, and John Wallace Fackler, and Carson Scott; his sister, Theresa Mattingly, Payneville, KY; his brother, Joe Fackler, Brandenburg, KY; and his special friend, Virginia Livers, Brandenburg, KY.

       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Rev. George Illakkal officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at 11:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  A vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM on Thursday, led by Glenn Mattingly.
