Billy Joe Shaw

     Mr. Billy Joe Shaw, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Owensboro Regional Medical Center.  Billy Joe was born on October 5, 1952, the son of Johnnie Wiley and Natie Virginia (Vaughn) Shaw.

     Billy Joe was a true country boy and loved everything outside, especially farming.

     Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Shaw; and his sister, Rachel Shaw Emily.  He is survived by his son, David Wesley Shaw; two grandsons; his brother, Thomas Vaughn; and three sisters, Mary, Betty, and Helen Shaw.

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Travis Thomason officiating.  Burial will follow in Raymond Cemetery in Webster, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM on Sunday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
