Charles Edwin "Eddie" Bruner

Mr. Charles Edwin “Eddie” Bruner, age 74, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Traditions of Beaumont in Louisville, KY.  Eddie was born February 14, 1949, son of Charles A. and Anita Barr Bruner.  He retired from Goodwill Services after 20+ years of service.  Eddie enjoyed bowling and participated in two bowling leagues.  He loved his horses, dogs and his red Trans AM, as well as all sports cars.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kerrick Bruner; and his extended family, Lucille and Baxter Stith, and Uncle Tom Barr, who played an instrumental role in his life.  He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Andrea Sue (Nick) Harp, Helen Taylor (Allen), Paul (Joy) Bruner, Alice Cain, Glenn (Lydia) Bruner, and Leslie (Buddy) Greenwell; 16 nieces and nephews; and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews and extended Stith family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Father Scott Wimsett officiating.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday; and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass on Wednesday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus of Louisville.
