Charles Riggs Rucker

      Mr. Charles Rucker, age 82, of Brandenburg, KY passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Baptist Health Louisville. Mr. Rucker was a member and a Deacon at Rock Haven Community Baptist Church, and he was known for handing out candy to anyone at church. He was retired from Louisville Gas and Electric Company and enjoyed woodworking.

      Mr. Rucker was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rucker; a son, C.W. Rucker; and six siblings, Walter Thomas Rucker, Elaine McCorkle, Russell Rucker, Lois Glass, Rolene Rucker and Maylene Rucker.  He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Stewart and her husband, Gary; three grandchildren, Tyler Stewart and his wife, Ashley, Kayla Thurman and her husband, Matt, and Kyle Stewart and his wife, Katie; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ollie, Luke and Leah; and a sister, Betty Hawkins.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Rock Haven Community Baptist Church with Rev. William Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Garnettsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  The family requests that all attendees wear masks.  Arrangements are entrusted to Hager Funeral Home.
