Charlie Alexis Mae Catoe Obituary
Charlie Alexis Mae Catoe, 6 month old daughter, of Brett Micheal Tyler and Kala Marie (Carden) Catoe, passed away on Saturday, March 14 ,2026, at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Charlie was a very unique and special girl who experienced so much in her short time. She was born with a left ventricle aneurysm that landed her on the transplant list from birth. She fought so hard and showed more determination than so many others much older and stronger than herself. She was voted by her many nurses as the “NICU Diva.” She was the red head with sass who always had her nails, both fingers and toes, painted, her beloved weighted elephant beside her, covered in her favorite blanket, and watching her astronaut light that projected the galaxy.
Charlie was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Richard Catoe and Richard Kimball Carden; her great grandmother, Margaret Morrison; and two uncles, Alan Catoe and William Carden. She is survived by her mommy and daddy, Kala and Brett Catoe; her sisters, Maddie Webb and Rhylee Catoe; her grandparents, Holly Fitzgerald and John Mixon (Meleia Thompson); her great grandmother, Janice Fitzgerald; 12 aunts and uncles, James Carter, Tori Duncan, Summer Mixon, Jayme Thompson, Jared Carden, Skylar Carden, Travis Catoe, Courtney Martin, Amber Thompson, Elizabeth Carman, Tabitha Hinson and Mason Thompson; and numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Garnettsville Cemetery in Brandenburg, KY. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the cemetery.
