Mrs. Clemmer Rae Morris, affectionately called “Clemmie” of Ekron, Kentucky, passed peacefully to join her Heavenly Father on February 8, 2021. She leaves behind a devoted husband, Robert L. Morris, of 61 years.
Clemmie was born October 25, 1935 to the late Hulet and Margaret Curtis in Rockport, Kentucky. Clemmie attended Campbellsville University where she earned a teaching degree. She was a substitute teacher for several years in the Meade County School System.
Clemmie was an active member of Buck Grove Baptist Church for 45 years, where she enjoyed fellowship and teaching Sunday school classes. She was also a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She enjoyed shopping, socializing with friends, and spoiling her beloved grandchildren. Clemmie will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Clemmie was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Beth Morris, parents, Hulet and Margaret Curtis, and brother, Richard Curtis Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Morris; son, Kevin Morris (Karen), five grandchildren Kevin Curtis Morris, Adam Morris (Alyssa), Courtney Morris, Kaylee Morris, and Kara Morris; and three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Madeleine, and Blake Morris.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Buck Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. David Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
