David Edward Billy

Mr. David Edward Billy, age 60, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. Mr. Billy was born on December 24, 1963, in Idabel, OK. He was a member of Ekron Full Gospel Church of God and the NRA. David had many hobbies that included fishing, hunting and playing his guitar. He especially enjoyed raising his garden beds of both vegetable and flowers. David was also known for doing a very real impression of John Wayne.

David was preceded in death by his father, William R. McDonald, III; his sister, Kristina Kay Billy; his grandparents; two aunts, Andrea and Judy Nicholson; two uncles, Ronny Nicholson and Don McDonald; and his great uncle, P.J. Hollowell. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Sue McDonald; two brothers, Jeffrey McDonald and Patrick McDonald and his wife, Tina; three step brothers, William R. “Bill” McDonald, IV and his wife, Janet, Michael McDonald and his wife, Laura and David McDonald and his wife, Tina; his uncle, Dan Nicholson and his wife, Brenda; his father-in-law, Ozzie Shultz; a special friend, Nancy Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Bolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
