David Palmer Clapper Obituary

Mr. David Linn Palmer Clapper, age 72, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. David was born November 17, 1946, the son of Frank Daniel and Julia Maddox Clapper. He was a member of Weldon Christian Church and retired from Civil Service in Ft. Knox, KY.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Adrianne Nischan. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Evans Clapper; three children, Tammy (Tim) Nischan, Grayson, KY, Brenda (Steve) Remke, St. Marks, FL, and Cy (Maura) Clapper, Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Erich, Evan and Todd Nischan, Olivia Nischan Diamond, Ben and Thomas Remke, and David and Natalie Clapper; and a great granddaughter, Elaine Nischan.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Weldon Christian Church, with Brother Gary True officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Weldon Christian Church Fellowship Hall from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Nicholas Yancy Nischan Foundation, 100 Academic Parkway, P.O. Box 2051, Grayson, KY 41143.
